Dear Business Leader,

Approximately 40,000 military members who have returned from Iraq or Afghanistan have been officially diagnosed with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). In fact, one in five servicemen and women who have returned from Iraq or Afghanistan report symptoms of PTSD. Despite efforts by the military to educate troops about mental health, about half of the military members and their spouses say they are somewhat or not at all knowledgeable about the symptoms.

Mental health problems and PTSD are difficult topics for many families. But VET4U has decided to raise our voices by organizing serval events:

  • Host monthly claims and discharge upgrade clinics

  • Feed veterans every year on Veterans Day in Union County

  • Host Military Wellness Day

  • Provide hotel vouchers for homeless veterans

  • Provide gift cards for grocery

  • Host education workshops on the benefits of Cannabis and PTSD

  • Provide support to deployed soldiers (next deployment Jan2024)

  • Partner with Hope’s Promise Stables which provides equine therapy to veterans

Vet4u has expanded its reach within the state and recognized the increasing need to support veterans. We require $100,000 to continue our efforts, but any amount contributed will be greatly appreciated. A separate goal is to raise $250,000 to provide transitional housing and ultimately help
end veteran homelessness. Your donation, regardless of the amount, will make a significant contribution to our cause. With your generous donation, VET4U will be able to hire an administrative assistant who will play a crucial role in helping us serve more veterans and provide more effective support. The administrative assistant will answer and direct phone calls, organize
and schedule appointments, plan meetings and take detailed minutes, and write and distribute emails, correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms.

In addition to this, it's worth noting that VET4U is a non-profit organization that helps house individuals who are facing homelessness and eviction by providing grants to stay in a hotel until shelter placement becomes available. Currently, there are thousands of veterans who are facing homelessness, and VET4U has already helped over 20 families in the past. However, with your support, we can do even more to help those in need. Please consider donating today and join us in our mission to serve our nation's heroes.
