Our Story

Behind the Scenes

Here at VET4U, we’re committed to investing our expertise and resources in order to further achieve our cause. Since 2000, we’ve been supporting our community members in a variety of ways and measuring our success not by monetary size, but by more qualitative measurements such as the scale and effectiveness of our efforts. Just imagine what we can achieve together!

What we are about!!

VET4U is a nonprofit organization focused on helping veterans, and their families, overcome mental illness, addiction, homelessness, and poverty by providing housing and support services. This proposal reflects our desire to expand our services which began more than a decade ago, to help veterans and their families overcome homelessness, poverty, and despair. Today, we are one of only a handful of minority, women-owned, and disabled veteran nonprofit around this region serving homeless veterans and veteran families. We will offer Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program which will be a homeless prevention program designed to assist veterans and veteran families at risk of homelessness to maintain their housing and to rapidly re-house veteran families who have recently become homeless. By supporting our cause, you can help us make a genuine difference in the lives of those who have served our country.
We firmly believe that women, minority, and veteran entrepreneurs can make great contributions to the City of Newark if given a fair and equitable chance. Our team consists of talented, skilled, and dedicated individuals who are eager to see this extraordinary project come to fruition. Our team will work closely with our professionals and the City of Newark to finalize a concept, determine funding solutions, and offer affordable housing opportunities to residents earning below 80% of the area median income. We hope to be given the opportunity to be a part of this exciting and important project for minority, women, and veteran entrepreneurs and Newark's small business community.
