VET4U at a Glance
A Distinct Identity
Vet4U knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. Back in 2000, our Non-Profit Organization realized that by working together we could overcome our challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to launch Vet4U.
About the owner
Janna J Williams has been a longtime advocate for America’s military veterans. Janna is a proud United States Air Force veteran with three beautiful children: Janna prides herself on being a community advocate who truly leads by example and has always had a passion for helping others. Janna’s thousands of hours in civic engagements and wide involvement in community affairs stretches far across Union County that includes the creation of her nonprofit, Vet4U. Vet4U is dedicated to serving veteran and military families during their difficult times ensuring they have food and clothing during the year. The genuine love that Janna has for the community of veterans is what inspires and motivates her to continue working relentlessly to provide resources and support to our veterans. Janna’s dedication encompasses taking the lead on several successful events and programs like Family Fun Day for 1,800 National Guard Troops and their families before their deployment, the opening of a transitional home in Plainfield for male veterans, held several Know Your Benefits Expo & Military Appreciation Nights providing veterans with the resources they need, provided a 6 week entrepreneurship training for veterans who are eager to start their own businesses, consistently provides 100% placement rate of homeless veterans that come to her, & lastly has processed over 250 compensation and survival benefit claims with a success rate of 88.7%. It is with great pride that Ms. Williams showcases what it means to be a supermom but has been recognized for her efforts with receiving the United States Congress Award and the NAACP Community Service Award. Janna truly serves as a role model for young women everywhere that it does not matter the challenges you face in life but it is with heart and how you face them that truly determines your success.
